Is EDTV Better Than HDTV

The continuous rise of our technology sometimes creates confusion among the ordinary people who has only limited knowledge about the field. Confusion as to the terms used is oftentimes the case being brought into, like that of the EDTV being different from HDTV.

High-Definition Television (HDTV) refers to the broadcast of television signals with a higher resolution than the traditional formats allow. It is broadcast digitally thus its introduction sometimes coincides with the introduction of digital television.

Previously, the term was also used to refer to television standards developed in the 1930s to take the place of the early experimental systems. It brought a new trend of television technology to the world which historically used other standards for almost over half a century. Keep reading...
