HDTVs Face the Same Challenges as Currently Used Televisions

Prior to the innovation of HDTV, wide screen was first introduced for the moviegoers. But some movie producers came to the realization that people who usually prefer to occupy the front seats in the first rows find pleasure and enjoyed a level of participation not likely with that of the conservative movies. Apparently, looking at the screen filled with greater sceneries augments the sense of belongingness or "being there."

In the 1980s, movie producers were offered a high-definition television system which was first developed by Sony and NHK in the late 70s. The system (called NHK Hi-vision) and its variants has the capability of being able to produce images having significantly the same detail as of the 35 mm film.
